One of the biggest looks the high street is pushing at us this aut/ wint is the cape. But just as I was about to by one I had a rare but sensible thought- when i'm cycling to work at 8am and the temperatue is -3 and the icy cold wind is battleing against me....do I really want a coat with gapping massive holes in it? I guarentee that when my skin is blue with the cold, people won't think..."look at her in her cape, how fabulous!"
